Are you kidding me?! Acer Aspire 4530-801G16Mn is the best laptop Php 30k could buy. The AMD Turion ULTRA 64 x2 (2.1GHz, 2MB Cache, 800MHz FSB) alone is already a hard puncher especially for your computing needs (it’s still a dual core processor, the fastest for AMD, which matches some core duo processors of Intel), coupled with NVIDIA® GeForce® 9100M G, a 3rd class graphics driver, you can play high-grade 3d games at the lowest settings. Considering all other capabilities of this laptop with those specs, you are getting a great deal with 30k, enough said.

  5. The Aspire 2000 mobile series boasts a huge 15.4″ panoramic display and the powerful feature set of Intel Centrino mobile technology. The wide-screen 15.4″ WXGA (1280 x 800) display offers improved viewing angles – 130 degrees horizontally and 100 degrees vertically. But the Aspire 2000 is much more than a great way to watch movies while on the go. Viewing multiple files simultaneously is easy on the panoramic display, allowing you to accomplish more in less time. If a big part of your job involves working with Microsoft Excel files, you’ll wonder how you ever managed with an ordinary notebook display. The wide screen and high resolution will help to make your job easier. Most remarkable, perhaps, is that the Aspire 2000 packs in so many features yet tips the scales at a modest 6.6 pounds.

Acer made a nice mini-notebook into a better one. The screen is larger and just as bright. The keyboard is still great (for a small one). No weirdly placed right shift key placement (Asus, Lenovo, etc). The mousepad buttons are below the touchpad not along side (yeah). It is now easy to increase ram or replace the drive without entirely dismantling the unit and voiding the warranty. I have no complaints. I loved the first one, this one fixes all the criticisms of the first one. Nothing major just refinement. Someone is listening to its customers and it is Acer.
Addendum: the screen is glossy, and initial orders are getting the larger 5900ma battery. It stick out the back a bit, but the run time is amazing. It must be the longest running mini-laptop out there, including the new Asus 1000he and the Samsung 10nc, for much less $$. That’s a win in my book. Easy to touch type (for me), good looks, I need a xd-card slot and this one has a 7-1, there is a bit a bloat ware, just delete and put on what you need, the HD is large enough.

I was looking for a compact laptop that I could use between home and work and also take on my frequent road trips to visit my family. My biggest gripe about laptops in the past has been the short battery life, so I was very pleased when my Acer came from Amazon yesterday (April 9th) with the 5800mAh battery. I don’t know about speed with the standard 1GB memory because I replaced mine with 2GB (so easy a caveman can do it) before I ever turned it on. But it boots up fast and is surprisingly quick. I love the size. It fits perfectly in my leather notebook. I touch type and while the keyboard is a little small it is very easy to get used to. Like some have reported, the touchpad buttons are a little stiff but they have a positive feel to them. It’s a non-issue with me because I hate touchpads in general and use them only in a pinch. I found a nice little Logitech USB mouse for about $19 that’s even a perfectly matching cobalt blue. The first option you will need for most any of these netbooks is a good USB DVD burner to load your software and make backup emergency disks. I bought one just before I bought the netbook. The 10″ display is bright and extremely sharp. The setup was simple I was up and running on my wireless network in less than 5 minutes. Most of my time was spent removing bloatware and building emergency recovery disks. This is really a great little computer with a solid feel and very attractive to look at. At the price you cannot beat this little netbook.
